Seminar Information Fall Seminar Registration Form International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) By: Mike Barcik, Southface Residential Energy Code Stay ahead of the curve by learning the requirements of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) produced by the International Code Council. The Residential Energy Code Workshop consists of both a three-hour, in-class training. Attendees will learn basic building science and how it informs the requirements of the IECC; the basic structure of the 2006 IECC; terminology; which buildings are required to comply with the code; compliance pathways builders can use to meet the requirements in the 2006 IECC; mandatory requirements of the energy code; and major changes in the 2009 IECC. The energy code workshops will also emphasize connections between the 2006 and 2009 IECC and will discuss market drivers including the LEED green building program, ENERGY STAR, Home Energy Ratings, Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification, and the 2030 Climate Challenge.
